Welcome to Port Authority of Allegheny County’s Web site focusing on the Transit Development Plan. All of the latest information is available here, including details about our system design concepts. Feel free to read the latest edition of our TDP newsletter or look below for specifics about the three concepts we have developed.
Thank you for attending our Open Houses in Oakland and Downtown. Both sessions in early June were very successful and provided the Authority with feedback about the concepts.
The public comment period for the Transit Development Plan's three System Design Concepts is now complete. Thank you to the hundreds of attendees at more than 40 public presentations and meetings, as well as the approximately 1,000 individuals providing input and feedback via this Web site. Stay tuned for an announcement in early Fall regarding the final draft transit system design plan, which will be presented for public review and comment

Port Authority finds it more and more challenging each year to maintain the same network of bus routes that existed 40 years ago. Riders’ needs, locations and travel habits have changed in that time. Now, Port Authority wants to revitalize its service to better match the demand. The Authority wants to provide transit service that is simpler, more innovative and offers greater frequency.
We have pursued three “concepts” that would attempt to meet these goals. Details of each are available on this site along with a presentation that will help you understand what we’re doing and where we’re going.
Now that our Open House sessions have been held, we will review the comments submitted as we determine the best plan for our system. Visit the Project Schedule page to review the project's timeline.
